Receipt scanning

Turn a paper receipt into a purchase record you can find.

Finny reads useful details from a photo or PDF. You review the retailer, product, price, and deadline before anything is saved.

What is a receipt scanner app?

A receipt scanner app turns a photo or PDF into a digital proof-of-purchase record. Finny uses OCR to suggest the retailer, product, price, and possible warranty details. It does not save those guesses blindly: you review the draft and decide what to keep.

Why digitize receipts?

A scan alone is not enough. It becomes useful when the purchase details, deadline, and original document stay together.

Find the purchase again

Save the product, retailer, and purchase date as fields instead of opening every image one by one.

Catch OCR mistakes

Receipt text can be difficult to read. Finny shows a draft so you can correct it before saving.

Keep the deadline nearby

The receipt does not sit alone. Store the relevant warranty or legal-guarantee date with it.

How does Finny scan a receipt?

The workflow is deliberately short and works in a mobile browser as well as on desktop.

  1. 01

    Photograph or upload the receipt

Use your camera or choose an existing image or PDF.

  2. 02

    Review the OCR draft

Check the retailer, product, purchase date, price, and suggested deadline.

  3. 03

Save it and set the reminder

Save the reviewed record. Finny emails you before the deadline you stored.

What Finny does not claim

OCR is an aid, not error-free bookkeeping. Finny therefore asks you to review the result and does not replace the original receipt or legal advice.
